Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026

Your photo is yours alone. This page explains exactly what EZpassportphoto collects, how it's used, who it's shared with, and when it's deleted.

1. What we collect

To generate your photo we collect: the selfie or photo you upload, the country/format and clothing option you choose, and — only if you choose to receive one — an email address for your payment receipt. If you use chat support, we collect the messages and any screenshots you attach. We also collect standard technical data (such as approximate country/region, device type, and page interactions) through Vercel Analytics and Google's advertising tag, used to measure site performance and ad campaigns.

2. How your photo is handled

Your original selfie is sent only to the AI photo-generation provider that produces your result and, once you pay, to our payment processor to charge you. It is never written to our own database and is discarded immediately after your result is produced. The finished, watermark-free photo is stored in encrypted, private storage solely so you can re-download it if you return to this device before it expires.

3. Automatic deletion

Every finished photo is permanently and automatically deleted from our servers no later than 7 days after purchase. After that point, the file is gone from our systems and cannot be recovered by us or anyone else. You can request earlier deletion at any time — see the Contact page.

4. Who we share data with

We share the minimum data necessary with three categories of provider: (a) an AI image-generation provider, to turn your selfie into a compliant photo; (b) Stripe, our payment processor, to securely process your card or wallet payment (we never see or store your full card details); and (c) Vercel, our hosting and analytics provider, and Google, for on-site analytics and ad-conversion measurement. We do not sell your photo or personal information, and we never share your photo with any other third party or use it to train AI models or build a facial-recognition profile.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies/local storage entries required to run the site (e.g. remembering your session during checkout) and analytics tags — Vercel Analytics and the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) — to understand traffic and measure ad performance. These do not identify you personally and are not linked to your uploaded photo.

6. Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to (a) delete your uploaded or finished photo immediately, (b) tell you what data we hold about a given order, or (c) answer any other question about this policy. Reach us through the chat support widget on this site — see the Contact page — and we will action deletion requests promptly.

7. Children

The service can be used to create a passport photo for a child, but only by a parent or legal guardian acting on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly allow children to use the service unsupervised or to make a purchase themselves.

8. International users

Our systems and service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including Australia and the United States. By using the service you consent to this transfer, which is necessary to provide the photo-generation and payment functionality described above.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service, our providers, or applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.

10. Contact

Privacy questions or deletion requests can be sent through the chat support link available on every page of this site. See our Contact page for details.
